Flavour supplier and manufacturer for Malaysia
VKA® is a flavour supplier for Malaysian food and beverage makers, creating custom flavours for brands across Asia since 1971. Manufacturing is at Senoko in Singapore, Johor in Malaysia and Southport in Australia. Bring us your product brief for food flavouring in Malaysia, from the target taste to the application and the words you need on the pack.
Flavours and systems for your finished product
We supply the flavour, the colour, the texture and the taste technology that finish a product. A Malaysian product team can bring the application and target profile to one flavour supplier, then evaluate the result in the food or drink it is made for.
Flavour portfolios
Essences, core tastes, culinary, colours and textures, built around character and mouthfeel rather than commodity profiles. Start with the taste you want the consumer to recognise and the role it plays in your product.

Flavourists, application technologists and a sensory panel work from your brief. Custom development tests the profile in the real product, so your team can assess the flavour alongside the other ingredients and the process it needs to survive.

Our Malaysian site is listed as “Ulu Tiram, Johor”. VKA's company profile describes its role as “serving the Malaysian market and supporting regional supply chain operations”. That Malaysian manufacturing presence is part of VKA's group operations alongside Singapore and Australia.
If you are looking for a flavour manufacturer for Johor Bahru, start with the product you are making and the profile you want to achieve. Share the application, format and processing conditions. VKA's flavour creation, application work and sensory evaluation take place at Ubi, Singapore, as our company FAQ explains.
A halal flavour supplier for Malaysian buyer briefs
VKA is MUIS and BPJPH halal-certified. Ask for halal scope documents with your sample, and tell us which documentation your customer needs before the flavour brief is finalised. Keep the intended product and buyer requirements together when reviewing the documents. In Malaysia, halal certification is issued by JAKIM and the State Islamic Religious Councils (P.U.(A) 431/2011 para 3); ask us at brief stage which halal documentation your Malaysian buyer accepts.

Working with a flavour manufacturer for Malaysia
Does VKA manufacture flavours in Malaysia?
Yes. VKA manufactures in Johor, Malaysia. Our company profile describes the Malaysian operation as serving the Malaysian market and supporting regional supply chain operations. Send your application and target profile to discuss the flavour you need.
Can you develop a custom flavour for our product?
Yes. Custom development is the core of what we do: a flavourist builds the profile, our application lab tests it in your actual product, and a sensory panel evaluates it against your brief before it scales to production.
Are VKA's flavours halal-certified?
VKA is MUIS and BPJPH halal-certified. Tell us at brief stage which halal documentation your Malaysian buyer accepts, and ask for the scope documents with the sample so your team can review them for the intended product.
Which food and beverage categories do you supply?
Beverages, dairy, bakery, confectionery, savoury and snacks, across natural, nature-identical and artificial flavours, plus the colours, taste technologies and reduction systems that finish a product. Include the category and base recipe in your brief.
What formats do the flavours come in?
Liquid, powder and emulsion, chosen for your process and your shelf life. Format changes how a flavour survives heat, how it disperses, and how long it holds, so we pick it against the process step where the flavour is added.
How do I request a flavour sample for Malaysia?
Send us a brief, the application, target profile, format, markets and volumes. Include the processing conditions and the words you need on the pack. We return a sample and the documentation pack so you can taste the match in your own product.
Send us your Malaysian product brief
Tell us the application, the target taste and the words you need on the pack. Include your buyer's halal documentation requirements so they are part of the brief from the start.
