What We Do

From the first brief
to every batch.

From concept to shelf, VKA delivers flavour solutions built for complexity and precision. Five decades of regional expertise. Advanced analytical capabilities. A disciplined focus on getting the taste right.

Core Capabilities

Six Disciplines. One Mission.

Every capability is powered by our in-house R&D laboratory and deep regional ingredient knowledge. Built to help brands create products consumers love.

Flavour Creation

Custom flavour profiles built by our flavorists. Tuned to your product, your market, your palate.

Applications

Beverages. Dairy. Bakery. Confectionery. Snacks. Culinary. Proven formulations across every major food category.

Innovation & R&D

GC-MS. HPLC. Pilot-scale processing. Real analytical tools paired with real formulation expertise.

Sensory Evaluation

Trained panels. Descriptive analysis. Consumer testing. Every flavour earns its place.

Speed to Market

From concept to creation in days, not months. Our lean structure and regional footprint give you a decisive advantage.

Regulatory Support

We handle labelling, approvals and documentation across every APAC market you sell into.

Laboratory & Creation Suite

Where science meets artistry. Our facilities turn concepts into prototypes, fast.

Our Edge

What Sets Us Apart

Multinationals serve global templates. VKA builds from the ground up, with palate-specific expertise, fast decision-making and a singular focus on APAC.

50+ Years of Regional Expertise

Since 1971, we have mapped Southeast Asian taste preferences. Tropical fruit profiles. Complex umami systems. We know this palate.

Vertically Integrated Laboratory

Our in-house R&D centre houses pilot-scale spray drying, GC-MS, HPLC and dedicated sensory suites. We validate before you commit.

Proprietary Technology Platform

EssenceLock™ encapsulation protects volatile compounds through high-heat processing, extends shelf life, and ensures consistent flavour delivery.

Collaborative Partnership Model

We embed within your product development team. Not as a vendor, but as an extension of your R&D capability.

Our Approach

A Proven Process

Four clear stages take your flavour from initial brief to production-ready launch. Rigour and speed at every step.

01

Brief & Discovery

We align on target profile, application, market positioning and regulatory needs.

02

Creation & Prototyping

Our flavorists develop initial concepts in-lab, with rapid iterations informed by sensory feedback.

03

Refinement & Testing

Rigorous sensory panels, stability testing, and application trials validate performance before sign-off.

04

Production & Launch

Scaled manufacturing with QC documentation, regulatory compliance packs and ongoing technical support.

Inside Our Production

From pilot to full scale.

VKA's Singapore facility runs a complete production capability, from R&D-scale pilot plant through to full-volume blending, automated bottling, and shipping-ready warehousing.

Distribution

Incoming materials

Quality starts at the gate, not at the end

Every delivery is checked in against its documentation, sampled, and held until the sample clears. A material that fails does not enter the store, so nothing downstream has to catch it later. This is where traceability for a finished batch actually begins.

Instrument upkeep

The instruments are serviced in-house

Calibration, servicing and repair of the bench instruments are done by our own people. An analyser waiting weeks for an external engineer quietly stops being trusted, and a result from an uncalibrated instrument is worse than no result at all.

Packing and dispatch

What leaves the building is the batch you approved

Finished flavour is packed, labelled and staged against the order it belongs to before it reaches the dock. Batch numbers stay readable on the outside of the carton, so a receiving warehouse anywhere in the region can match what arrived to what was released.
